The area closure on the Sheep Fire on the Salmon River Ranger District has been lifted, except for a road restriction on Slate Creek Road 354 from milepost 5 to milepost 9. These restrictions remain in place for public safety from rolling and falling debris resulting from extensive burning on steep slopes in the Sheep Fire area. Road closure signs are posted to alert the public. Skookumchuck Road 2025 and Nut Basin Road 441 can be used as alternate routes.
