Incident Overview
The Jawbone Complex started on Friday, August 10, 2012 at approximately 1:00pm. The two fires are located 20 miles North of Mojave near the Sierra Crest and about 10 miles West of Highway 14. Jawbone fire is in patrol status only. Crews are beginning to implement fire suppression repair to those areas where the fire is no longer a threat. As the need for firefighters decreases, excess equipment and crews are being released to other fires.
