Incident Overview
The Barry Point Fire is 100% contained at 93,071 acres. While the fire is holding within the fire lines, it will continue to flare up and smoke as it encounters unburned fuels within the perimeter. This will continue to happen until the snow flies. The fire is currently being managed by the Southern Central Oregon Fire Partnership Type III team, Leland Hunter Incident Commander, in conjunction with the National Incident Management Organization (NIMO), Steve Gage Incident Commander.
The fire is in the suppression repair and patrol stage. The Burned Area Emergency Response Team is analyzing the fire effects to determine what type of emergency treatments need to occur in response to the fire.
