The Peak Fire, which has been burning on the Beckwourth Ranger District on the Plumas National Forest since July 28th, has been 100% contained since early August . Various firefighting resources regularly patrol the fire area and continue mopping up as needed. Interior pockets of unburned fuel may continue to flare up occasionally and smoke may be visible.
