The Peak Fire, which has been burning on the Beckwourth Ranger District on the Plumas National Forest since July 28th, has been 100% contained since early August . Various firefighting resources regularly patrol the fire area and continue mopping up as needed. Interior pockets of unburned fuel may continue to flare up occasionally and smoke may be visible. This information will be updated only if conditions warrant.
