As of July 2nd, the fire was completely contained. The interior of the fire area may continue to smoke but there has not been any major fire activity for several days.
This is the last fire update from Kusicko's Incident Management Team for the Antelope Lane fire. A local team from the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest will take over monitoring and patrolling of the fire starting this Friday, July 6. Please contact the Jefferson Ranger District, 406-287-3223 with questions on the fire. Kusicko's team will continue to manage the Pony Fire until containment is reached. The Whitehall High School will continue to be the incident command post and the information officers listed above will be able to assist you at least through the weekend.
