No active fire activity was observed since October 4th and 5th with the arrival of cooler temperatures and rain. The two fires were declared controlled on October 24 following additional snow and rain.

The Whitehawk Complex contained two separate fires, both started by lightning on Thursday, August 26. Both fires were staffed and with late August rain, snow and cool weather were nearly contained. The 389 acre Whitehawk Fire and 1,092 acre Casner Fire were monitored with a confinement strategy being used.
