Washington Management Team 2 will transfer fire management back to the local jurisdiction. A 20-person fire crew and 5 engines will remain to patrol the fire.

Officials expect smoke to be occasionally spotted within the fire perimeter until the first snow, probably sometime in November. If smoke near the fire lines cause concern, please call Central Washington Interagency Communication Center at 509-884-3473.

| Significant Events | Temporary flight restrictions were removed 6 p.m. Aug. 30. At 8 p.m. Aug. 31 Level 1 and 2 emergency notices will be lifted and Fisher Hill Road will open. The Klickitat River Trail remains closed within the fire area until assessed by Washington State Parks and the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Transfer of command to local jurisdiction is scheduled for 6 a.m. Sept. 1. |
