The View Lake Fire Complex consists of several lightning-caused fires in Olallie Lake Scenic Area, Mount Jefferson Wilderness, and Bull of the Woods Wilderness on the Mt Hood and Willamette National Forests, 45 miles east of Estacada, Oregon.
An extended period of cooler temperatures and significant precipitation moved into the area on Tuesday. This weather has helped firefighters largely achieve their incident objectives. The Portland NIMO team will transfer command of the incident to a local Type 3 Organization Wednesday at 0600 and many of the resources assigned will be heading home.
