Incident Overview

There is a wetline around the entire perimeter of the fire but still quite a bit of heat in the interior. Firefighters will be on scene throughout the evening mopping up and patrolling for hot spots.

There are no evacuations and no homes threatened at this time. Firefighters arrived on scene quickly this afternoon and made significant progress within the first hour.

There are 2 fixed wing airtankers and 2 helicopters assigned to the Springs Fire.

Wildfire is northeast of Wrightwood burning in a dry river bed.
