The Wilmont Fire was added to the management of the Abraham Canyon Fire on July 15th, and the two were then managed as the Inchelium Complex. Both fires were declared contained the evening of the 15th, thanks to exceptional work by initial and extended attack forces. Additional work after containment was to ensure the agency turnback standards were met.
The fire burned in a range of conditions, from dense stands of heavy timber to scattered trees. There are areas of heavily wooded, steep slopes, especially on the north end of the fire, and more open areas.
