Summary

The East Lake Fire (aka Skinner Fire) was declared fully contained at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Patrols are still on-scene.

Final acreage was 962 acres.

This fire started from downed power lines during a high wind event (gusts of over 60 mph) Tuesday, April 29. The fire started on private property and quickly spread to public land administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Carson City Field Office.

One structure has been reported lost. No injuries were reported.
