Summary

Fire is approximately 7500 acres.  Fire made major run last night after 9 pm, crossing Forest Road 422 and 275.  Evacuations have been ordered in Punta de Agua, Manzano, Game Road, East View, Kayser Mill, La Cieniga, Quari, Highway 131 and Colorado Road.There is currently no containment on this fire and the cause remains unknown and under investigation.A type 1 Incident management team will assume command of the Ojo Peak Fire on 11/22/07.

Fire Behavior

Open fire remains interior in stumps and snags. Smoldering and creeping was located through fire in areas of surface fuels. None of these areas are threats to the line.

Significant Events

Several inches of snow fell over night on the entire fire area which allowed for the lifting of the evacuation orders. Oltrogge's team took over fire yesterday.

Planned Actions

All evacuations and closures have been lifted but public is encouraged to stay away from fire area and respect local residences.

Projected Movement

With predicted weather, precipitation could occur in the form of snow. Spread potential will lesson considerably.
