The information number for the incident is 406-328 4958, and 406-328 4959.Location: Near Tumble Creek, in the West Fork of the Stillwater River drainage approximately 8 miles west of Woodbine Campground, and one mile south of the Absaroka/Beartooth Wilderness boundary. Today clear, dry and calm conditions throughout the morning changed as a monsoonal moisture pattern arrived mid-afternoon. Increased cloud cover caused the fire to be fairly inactive with smoldering, creeping and occasinal single tree touching fire behavior. The winds today were south east at seven miles per hour. Under the direction of the Carbon County Sheriff, the West Fork of Rock Creek roadblock has been moved to the junction of the Silver Run road. Cabin owners with property in Basin Creek will be allowed to go back to their cabins from 8:00 am until dark, but must present a current identification. Access to the ski lodge is prohibited. The Custer National Forest has issued a fire Area Closure order that includes most of the trails and back country in the West Fork drainage. The mandatory evacuation has been lifted for the Grizzly Peak subdivision; however, they remain on alert. Today&#39;s Activities: A cold front moved into the fire area creating south south west winds up to thirty miles per hour. The fire grew nearly two thousand acres in response to the cold front.
